There is mention of a Young Adult group meeting in TMC Sentul in the 1985 Selangor District Superintendent’s Report to the Annual Conference. Next we see that the Board on Christian Education underthe leadership of Rev. Devadass Ratnam, organising a “Kem Remaja” for the young adults . This was held at the Highlands Gospel Centre, Tanah Rata Cameron Highlands from 10th to 12th October 1986. There were 70 participants from 16 local churches. Those present recommended that similar camps be held every year. The fourth such Camp was held in 1989 and about 40 – 50 participated.

Rev. Joseph Kumar, the BCE Chairman tried to organize a Camp for the Young Adults in 1994. He reported at the 1994 Annual Conference that it did not materialize. However the Camp was successfully organized from 29th September to 1st October in 1995. It was at that Camp, where there were twenty-five participants, that the Conference MYAF was 60 formally organised. The following were elected as Conference MYAF Office bearers for 1995/96:
